So, I decided to share with you my
classroom. I have a very tiny space. I had to be meticulous about how to
organize my furniture and supplies to make room for all of my stuff. :) Anyway,
as a resource teacher we add more students throughout the year. Well, my first
graders have gone from 3 to 8. So I had to come up with an idea to seat all 8
students at one time in a very small space. My friend Lita started using a
lunchroom table in her room because of the same problem. I decided to try it. I
LOVE it. | ||
My lunch room table gives me enough
seats for my students to work and leaves just enough room to walk around safely
in my classroom. Totally Awesome!!

I decided to create this blog to share my growth, learning and experience with other educators. I am excited to share what I have learned over the years with you.

Daily Objectives
This school year all teachers have to post the Common Core objectives they are working on.
We additionally have to put them in "language" that our students can understand.
As
a resource teacher, this can be difficult with so many small groups
throughout the day. With much trial and error, I found a solution that
works well for me.
I laminated sentence strips so that I could use dry erase markers to write the objectives directly on the wall. When I need to change them, I simply erase with a dry erase marker. This system has worked well for me. :)
